Hello, I would like to invite African-American men diagnosed with prostate cancer to participate in a telephone delivered study for men diagnosed with prostate cancer and their partner. This is an 8 week study and we provide psychosocial and educational counseling via telephone. Please feel free to call me; we have a toll free number 1-866-218-6641 or email me at: figueroa@nursing.arizona.edu. Thank you.

I will be going down to Hampton in the near future to do a presentation a a support group. ACS had a program in Hampton last year but they do not have funding to repeat it again this year. Contact me if you want to be connected to people who in Virginia who are working on outreach into the minority community. We have several people in the VPCC who are active in this area.

Hi Gregory,
Welcome to the web site, glad you found us and are now one of us. I have been working on a project through the PCCAC for African-Americans in the state of Colorado for the past year. It is called "Uptown Harlem Nights" and my partner, whom I have been trying to get to join this site is Kifunqua Ma'at, an African American. With the unique process of the PCCAC we have as our goal this year to do a grassroots awareness project that places PCa awareness at the forefront of the black community. We are starting an African-American Us Too group and financing the whole thing from grassroots support. Had a trial run of Uptown Harlem Nights last year and we are working out the whole project to include a week of activities. Be glad to share. Once again, welcome aboard.
