THE AFFECT OF AGENT ORANGE ON SON’S OF VIETNAM VETERAN’S EXPOSED TO AGENT ORANGE

I have recently become curious as to the number of men in their 40’s and younger diagnosed with prostate cancer who are sons of Vietnam Veterans who had been exposed to the toxic Agent Orange during their service in that country.

There are a multitude of papers on the internet regarding Vietnam Veterans ailments from exposure, as there are as many more regarding birth defects that have occurred likely in the womb to children of Vietnam Veterans. And similar papers of the effect Agent Orange has had on the Vietnamese and their children from that era. However, there appears little attention to what long term effects may only now be erupting with male sons diagnosed with prostate and other cancers as well as female daughters with breast and other cancers. We are now in that time frame where these cancers that often develop only over a long time-frame may now be coming to the fore having developed from birth as the result of the parent Agent Orange exposure.

Hello George,

I was going to add some links on how the war effected the people of Vietnam but wasn't sure how they would be received by the US veteran's,me being from the UK.

Was talking to a friend about public television and he told me about a documentary that he saw last week on public television about vietnamese children now being born with disfigurements due to third generation agent orange exposure.

Hi Chuck,
I think you are bringing forth the next horrific chapter from those exposed to the chemicals of that era and their carying and transplanting this terrible toxin through their genes to their offspring, both male and female. I recognize that you may have been dealing with one of these offspring and I also would be very interested to find if this "hand me down" is occuring. I appreciate your stirring this pot. I was exposed in 1958 to the manufacture of the herbicide used in agent orange and suspect that my PCa is a result of the exposure. Keep asking this question Chuck. George
