- As one who has had sub total cryo , partial ablation, I sometimes think that I have more fear of a recurrence, on the other hand I read the same fears brought up by guys who have had RP. My real fear is in establishing a valid baseline from which to "watch" for recrurrence. Someone handed me a survivor T shirt at a parade. I am not comfortable wearing it yet. I don't consider myself a survivor until I have had at least another year. Not that I wouldn't wear it but the label doesn't seem to fit yet... more like treated and so far so good.
