- angie, thanks for the info. hope you and yours are doing good. this is a terrible feeling, everthing seems so hard to make a choice as to what is the best way to treat pc. or what dr. is the best, that we can afford to travel to. it doesnt take long for the bills to start piling up. ive had 3 surgeries in the last 17 months. charles had 1 in nov. 2008 and then he had to have a stent placed in his heart in feb. 2009. and we havent even started down the treatment road with the pc yet. wow, how do people afford this all? charles has insurance, but with the deductable, co pays, non covered, gas, meals, and missing work we have stress we really dont need on top of the pc. i guess it will all work out some how. im glad to talk to you. joy

- hi, my husband was told he has pc, dec. 23 2008 we are waiting on our surgery date, we dont know what surgery to do, thought about robotic, but our dr. says he can tell more with "hands on" tell by the way it feels and looks, about where the cancer is, how much needs to be removed. how are the both of you doing? i hope, good there are alot of good people with this site, lots of friends, people with the same fears and hopes. welcome

It ws very dificcult and I'm trying to cope in the best possible way....Hope you recover from your operation as soon as possible....

- Angie, as the schedule comes together I'll see if we can find a time to meet at the KI offices. They are great - you'll love them. I'll be in town Feb. 6-8th. As for the incontinence, do check with Dr. K. I'm sure he'll have some advice for you. Jimmy just celebrated his 1 year anniversary in November. We went back to FL to celebrate with the important people in our lives through this journey. He gets a PSA every 3 months - and it's still undetectable. I'll be in touch with you.

Recibi su contesta hoy sin problema. Nos alegra saber que ha podido transmitir con exito. Mi esposo queria saber si ha superado ya la condicion inicial de incontinencia o si lo fue alguna vez despues de la laparascopia. Cualquier informacion que pueda compartir con nosotros sera muy apreciada.
Si puede leer un poco de ingles, note el comentario de Angela Jenkins, bajo el suyo en esta misma pagina. En el dice que su esposo, que fue operado en Noviembre del 07, ya no esta incontinente. Ella piensa que la funcion sexual volvera a medida que pasa el tiempo. Nosotros no conocemos a nadie mas que a las personas que se comunican a traves de este "blog". Seria interesante preguntar a todos si han recobrade su funcion sexual y cuanto tiempo se tardaron en hacerlo.
En realidad nosotros somos tambien nuevos a todo esto ya que mi esposo hoy cumplio solo 4 meses de operado. Espero su respuesta para seguir compartiendo informacion
