- About Me:
- I am the founder/editor of www.hisprostatecancer.com, an information and support web site that is specifically for wives and partners of men with prostate cancer (in my "day job" I work as a medical communications copywriter). I am also the wife of a prostate cancer survivor who was diagnosed at age 49, had radical prostatectomy in 2005, and Lupron/radiation for a recurrence in 2007 (PSA is now undetectable). Our motto is: never give up the fight!

- Excuse me for asking Dana, but how is it you can use only your first name and everyone else uses first and last names. I have many questions to ask, but if I use my first and last name I feel it is not respectful for my husband and this is one of the most difficult things for me as a wife, because I have many questions and do not want to disrespect or hurt him in any way by asking... any advice?

- HI DANA.........I AM SO NEW TO THIS CANCER THING, I GUESS I LEFT OUT THAT BOTH MY HUSBAND ARE 58.....WE HAVE BEEN MARRIED 38 YEARS.....WE DID HAVE A 2ND DOCTOR.....HE DID SAY THE SAME THING......SO NOW WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT......CONNIE

- Hi Dana......so what contitutes being a younger woman to join the younger women's page? LOL guess I am too old--just turned 57; but the intimacy issues are very important to me (us)....and it is very important to me that my husband be around for a long time yet...I have Jadon to raise, etc and don't feel I could go it alone.

I have updated my profile the best my memory will allow. The old results are being sent to the new uro so I will get a copy when we see him again.

Rosa said… - thanks Dana for your interest. Things are not so good. Carlos has a lot of problem with the necrosis of the jaw. Nothing to do, only wait. He´s sick all day. In the other hand, he´s very very tired too. We supposed it´s a side effects of the homonal treatment. We are waitting for other PSA test. Hugs
