Sure
About Me:
Dr K's #13 surgery :>)

I was very lucky and asked my doctor (not a urologist) for a DRE even though I had a PSA of 1.5 ng/ml. He found a nodule and referred me to a urologist who in turn did a biopsy showing several cores of Gleason 6. After doing research I found Dr. K via an article in the Miami Herald and had it removed. The lab work indicated a final pathology as not having spread and a Gleason 3+4=7. That was almost eight years ago in 2000. Just had a PSA taken in May and still showing <0.1 ng/ml. Delete Comment

Hey Jack - your friend should be going for his biopsy soon. Let me know how that goes and what he decides to do. Hope you're well.

Same for us. The insurance only covered the hospital - none of surgeon costs. Fortunately, I had taken out a cancer policy with AFLAC years ago and it paid quite a bit. Friends found out and sent support as well. Tell him not to give up on the possibility. Maybe there is a way to finance the cost. I just know that Dr.K is the best and if there's any way to make it happen I hope he will. Keep us updated on what he decides to do.
