Lenny, I really appreciate your input and I will mention to Dr. at next visit. At this moment I think I will forgo any radiation without being sure where it needs to be focused.

Hi Lenny

Been a while since you posted your comment on my page. Sorry it's taken a while for me to get back to you but I've just had some more results today and they have confirmed that my PSA is still around 0.1 which is nearly 4 years after my operation and 2 years after my radiotherapy treatment and 3 years after a major heart attack which was caused by a clot from the op for cancer. How have you been travelling? I have been following your story since you first posted - it seems like years ago now - and I was interested in your fishing exploits - been a hobby of mine since I was a child. I currently have something like 35 fishing rods (some I've made myself) and 30 reels to match. The hardest decision I have to make these days is which rod do I take out with me. I'm going out with my son and some friends on a boat which is 40 foot cruiser and we hope to get out to 100 metres depth and catch some big snapper off Rottnest (about 20 miles from Fremantle Western Australia).

I'd be interested in knowing what your PSA is now and what treatments you've been having for it recently and how you feel in general.

I've been following a diet that was quoted by Mark Moyad MD "Promoting Wellness for Prostrate Cancer Patients" and it's been a very interesting book. It was also recommended to me by my oncologist who I see from time to time down here where I live (about 75 kilometres from Perth) as he visits the local hospital in Mandurah.

I have also been taking a lot of selenium tablets and dried pawpaw leaves which another friend of mine has said that his father has had good results with (he's in his late 80's).

Look forward to hearing you're doing okay - Nick

Hi Lenny

I read everything a lot. My sailboats been up for sale. Living it, it does not seem so bad. I have just not commented too much ... especially since I have had been battling a different cancer.

Good news, if it is good news, another CT scan yesterday shows that it may not be bone mets, just massive degeneration of bone matter due to years of Lupron causing osteoperosis type indications on bone scans.

So maybe I am still beating beast No. 1. It ain't easy with type 4 N1 prostate cancer and type 2 ureter cancer.

Spoke to Meyers once. He asked me who my doctors were, and then said with that excellent team, I did not need him ... though he is more aggressive I think.

Curious to see what's going on in Eretz re PrCa; I'm also in Israel from time to time but likely to be more of a lurker with a fair amount of knowledge!
I do a fair amount of work here with UsTOO nationally and the local support group and am very interested in diet and exercise. I'm pushing a 'national spokesperson' agenda with UsTOO.

Happy hanuka & shalom, rd
