I have been busy starting a new job same employer.
I would love to hear all our details leading up to and including your cryo.
INCLUDING who did it, when , techniques used. Continence and sexual function, the whole gambit.
I also am NOT shy about talking on the phone.
Cheers,
Robert B
Based on the information you posted below, you appear to have some form of cystitis that is causing the bleeding. This may or may not be a "big deal." What I can tell you is that if it gets worse, you need expert attention.
With respect to the erection issue, given your abilty to get hard nocturnal erections, the loss of the erection "when you become aware of them" may be "all in your head." I would suggest a couple of meetings with a good sexual counselor, who may be able to help. I think you are right to decide to wait on the implant.
Bleeding stopped after a month or so after surgery. But I started having some blleding when I urinate after a little over a year post op. They looked at the bladder and urethra, saw no bleeding at that time. The bleeding stopped for about a week and returned. Had an IVP done, everything looks good. The doctor said go home and don't worry about it, every thing is good. The blood is only in the first part of the stream.
My second question is: I am able to get about 3/4 of an erection when I try to have sex. The most dissapointing thing is I have good hard nocternal erections, but when I become aware of them, I loose them. I use cialis sometimes, but they do not have a huge effect on me. The doctor has talk about an implant, but I am not ready for that at this point.
My cryo was done in Minocqua, WI. Excellent surgeon, but not much in the way of recovery support.
Any advice or info is appreciated.
Thanks
Len
Welcome to the site. Happy to have you hear. Tell us a little more about your Cryo. What, when, where etc. would appreciate what you have to say. Its a topic we all want to expand our knowledge on. Thanks. George
Did you have full cryo or focal? What are your questions? You're right. We need a few more cryo patients. They aren't all that common compared to surgery and radiotherapy patients, however.
Look for Steve Z. He had focal cryo relatively recently.
