Got my first post-surgery PSA at the 3 month point. It was <.1, undetectable. Great news, since I had Gleason 4+3. Neg margins helped.

Greetings, Fr John. About your PSA, maybe St Luke moved the decimal point over one :-) Good luck with your diagnosis, and may God bless you as much as he has my wife and I through this ordeal.

I'm four weeks out from da vinci, with excellent recovery. But over the last few days I've developed a terrible pain in the right knee. I'm pretty sure it's tendonitis from overdoing my rehab, I started walking a couple of miles a day two weeks ago,…

About Me:
I was diagnosed last May with Gleason 3+4 T2a, 8 of 12 cores positive. I had da vinci surgery 4 weeks ago from an outstanding local surgeon, Dr Simon Chung, and have been recovering extremely well. I'm fully continent, and have only needed tylenols every now and then. Hoping to get back on the golf course in a few days. My pathology came back at 4+3, pT2c, 25% in both lobes, but no extraprostatic extension, negative margins, and clear seminal vesicles, so I'm hoping the surgery took care of it. Still have to check for PSA in a couple of months.

Nel ... Glad to hear that your follow-up PSA met the crucial criterion ... but how's the golf game?

Dear Nel:

May all your future PSAs be < 0.1 ng/ml. And may your golf swing thrive as a coinsequence!

Nel- it would be great if you'd post the info you sent me in your profile. You can go to "settings" on the top right, and edit your profile.
Since you've had surgery, you may want to join the surgery group so you'll get notices of all discussions going on in that group, and will keep you updated with others' experiences.
Indeed you have the best two on your side!!! Be sure to post your follow up PSAs and keep us updated.
Praying for an excellent, speedy recovery!!!
