hello scott

tx for making contact!

take a look at our website - www.sunflowerwellnness.org; we are currently setting up a pilot in SF, and dean ornish has offered his support to take us national if we succeed. sunflower addresses all cancers, and we have tremendous support (but no funds!) from many UCSF docs including head of oncology and urological oncologist, eric small, chuck ryan., and BrCa chief laura esserman.

would love to speak with you when you have time; you can reach me on 415 388 8480 04 rick@sunflowerwellness.org .

kind regards, rick davis

Hey Scott,

It's good to see you on the infolink!! Have you seen the latest posters that I created to promote awareness. You can view them on my page.

I think the last time I e-mailed you and Brian Lopes, I was working on the PSA commercials. Have you seen them?

You can view them here:

'Our Problem' commercial:

'Ready To Retire?' commercial:

Let me know what you think buddy.

Thanks for all you are doing!!

Hi Scott

I am a grass roots fund raiser for LiveStrong and a 3 year prostate cancer survivor. This year I completed the first of 5 planned athletic events. You can see my story and my remaining planned events at my website.
(http://sites.google.com/site/dollarb58/). Maybe we could work together? Let me know if you have an interest. In any event good luck .

Scott - have read the posts between you, Mike and Arnon. I'm ready to organize any AFC/PCI events you'd like to do. Thanks for joining the network. I would love to see us work together to promote public awareness. You can reach me anytime, and of course Mike and Arnon know where to find me.

Sure. Bob wrote that piece to help others. If you prefer you can also use the article that came out in the Herald: He Races Back After Modern Prostate Surgery. If needed I'll be pleased to introduce you to him.

Be advised also that two-time Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steeler Robin Cole and member of baseball's Big Red Machine Ken Griffey Sr. are my patients and are supportive of prostate cancer awareness. Likewise I'll be please to make introductions if you want.

And ... and this has been a long dream .. if you ever want to do a swimming-based event I bet Bob's son Bobby, a world class swimmer and my former coach, and his co-coach Jim Montgomery (4 medals 1976 Montreal Olympics) would pitch in (Dallas Aquatic Masters). There's a precedent in Australia called the Calcutta so "the goggles are in your lane." Perhaps one day Athletes for a Cure and PCI could collaborate to do something along these lines. Angela ... Oh, Angela ... :-)

Mike, Scott --

Having come to "term," I think we can also come to terms. :-O

PCI is here to help PCF, Shalom Prostate, CPCRN, Rowing for Prostate, and any and all who labor to share awareness and knowleldge. Please have a look at our main site, Scott, at http://prostatecancerinfolink.net . And if you are looking for inspiration in stories based in athleticism, you might want to look at the unequalled story of Bob Patten, who broke the world 200m breast-stroke record 100 days after radical prostate cancer surgery.

Welcome to the network. And please let us know if we can help you.

Scott: I'd LOVE to work out how to build that bridge. Prostate Cancer International is ALL about cooperation with others toward a common goal. I have spent years being frustrated by the failure of the various components of the prostate cancer community to cooperate with each other. Indeed I coordinated a meeting in Texas in the dim and distant past that led to the foundation of the National Prostate Cancer Coalition (now ZERO) -- another great idea that turned out to be a complete bust! E-mail me any time. I'll try to watch the videos later today.

Hi Scott. Welcome to the site. We naturally have a "love/hate" relationship with PCF. They a do a great job and if we had a thousandth of their annual funding we could do a lot more! (I'm one of the co-founders). But then we're only 9 months old so depending on your belief systems some would argue we had only just come to term! See also the Prostate Cancer International web site. PCI owns The "New" Prostate Cancer InfoLink.
