Program Director for Women Against Prostate Cancer
Director of Marketing for Men's Health Network

Using my marketing background I am working to educate others about prostate cancer through innovative programming. I co-founded Women Against Prostate Cancer with Betty Gallo of The Dean and Betty Gallo Prostate Cancer Center of the Caner Institute of New Jersey to help educate women about prostate cancer as well as provide a forum where they can share their experiences to help others.

Theresa: I do NOT personally know a really good medical oncologist in Philadelphia who specializes in prostate cancer. But then I have never had to look for one. However, if you direct your patient's wife to link A and link B, they will give her the names of med/oncs at UPenn and at Fox Chase who claim to specialize in PCa.

Your best bet, particularly in Philly, is to ask Mike Scott. He lives in Philadelphia and will be most knowledgeable. There's no list per se on this site. I was going to send you a note today also - what's the status of the intimacy brochure? Is there a draft yet?

Hi, Theresa. Great to see you have joined the group. It seems like forever since I have talked with you...even though it's only been a couple of weeks. It's been crazy getting my Dad back and forth to doctor appointments. My Mom was just diagnosed with COPD and an enlarged heart. I have had my hands full as I know you have. How is the project coming along?

Betty Gallo is my hero. She really struck out alone and put together a much needed organization. I believe she is the one, maybe I am mistaken, that said we have to "nag, nag, nag' our men. At least I am quoting her in my talks. Glad you are a member and welcome to the site and I have a deep respect for Men's Health Network, use this material in my talks also.
