Stay Stong I love you!
Greetings from Annice and me from Rehovot. I had a brachytherapy procedure in April, 2008, so if you/Abe want to ask me anything, just shoot. If Abe is still practicing in Rehovot, we can touch base here.

I wish your husband a refuah sh'leima and the same to all the brothers here.
My beloved father, Uri, rests in a "bet ha'chaim" (as he would call it) in Jerusalem. I hope and pray that he can truly rest in PEACE -- that one day soon people will come to their senses and, lay down their swords and turn them into plowshares.
Kol Tuv,

PS: Tisha B'av is my birthday. Maybe that's why my husb is fasting :-))
I grew up in Ra'anana and visit not infrequently (oh, how I miss the chickens!). My parents are there now and my wife Ruthie will be there in September.
My sense is that Israel generally is not too aware of prostate cancer even as Olmert's stunt was a positive step. Since we opened a direct local-call line (03 721 3331) we get calls that suggest a relative ignorance and inability to get good information in Hebrew (you can get one reasonably good article as recently published in Yediot Aharonot if you click here). This week we are setting upon translating one small piece of material to at least begin an effort at informing. We are also forming a working relationship with Israeli urologists to better help triage inquiries. For example, we are working with Ilan Gruenwald at Rambam to provide information and service relating to incontinence and erectile dysfunction. Since you have a personal and professional interest, please feel free to call us any time.
I'd like to stay in touch with you and learn more about the situation and how we can help.
Arnon
I suggest you look at the groups under Hormone Suppressiopn. Here you might find some answers to Abe's depression. I forgot to ask if Abe had his PSA taken to-day. It is important to know what is happening
