can you tell if the biopsy was positive in the area of the abnormal exam? are you planning on repeating the biopsy?

I have never seen bleeding from magnesium supplements but did see a case of a person on vitamin E at high doses. This is just another example of the mistaken belief by patients that supplements, vitamins and herbs may not help but they certainly won…

This is not new information In fact, it makes the argument about active surveillance a little stronger because if at least one quarter of those men who have been followed with active surveillance were really in trouble because they harbored a higher…

As others have said, it partly depends on your age and more importantly your life expectancy. The odds of a biopsy showing cancer using at least 12 cores is about 25%. If you have had any previous PSA tests, that could help give you some idea of the…

This is certainly interesting information prompting to share some experience I have had with the Prostasol. There are no published reports on this agent but prompted by PC SPES, I had 8 patients who tried it. All 8 had a drop in their PSA some for s…

O my God, I feel I must respond as this is a sure way to bankrupt the economy. First of all, Suggesting an MRI before a prostate biopsy that is positive in about 25% of men means that 75% will be unnecessary. If such an argument was acceptable for p…

First, remember your age and family history put you in a different category than the majority of men that in the middle of the controversy. Secondly, there is no good way to predict the long term effects of your cancer but you are very young and you…

"I believe that it is an excellent idea. The fact is that there are fewer forums, discussions in Spanish. I believe that to begin it would be sufficient with the subtitles. Thank you very much for thinking about this idea."

Gerry ... I'll do my best as soon as I can. I've been kinda swamped and also sick recently. Sadly I also have a regular job which can be very intrusive! :O)

Hi Dr. C. (again),
I received the PPML post you did about the new videos. I am particularly pleased to see more discussion about combining HT with RT and that the combined version is showing better results. I started my treatments with RALP surgery, but the pT3b convinced me to do more adjuvantly. Are the study results you speak of whether or not surgery was performed for T3 patients? Thanks for your answer in advanced...

Very nice. Now I see what you meant about the hair. That's easy to fix. Just recrop the image so it's square and your face is centered. That should do it.

Gerry, it'll be great to have you in some of the groups, especially in Primary Issues, Surgery, and Biopsy. As discussions develop perhaps you can link to some of your most relevant videos. Please let me know if you need any help doing that.

HI Gerry. It's nice to see you. When you have a minute please put in a photo that shows you as a doctor (scrubs, lab coat, etc). This helps shape the discussions and also discloses possible conflicts of interest. See how Ira Gleiberman did his. Please let me know if you have any questions. See you online! Arnon
