JP - Absolutely I would voice my concern. Moreover, I'd find a new urologist. We went to 4 before I found the right one. I don't know where you're located, but in Florida there is the Krongrad Institute, where my husband had surgery, and their facility is specifically designed to be soundproof, the environment is relaxing and disarming, and the customer service is the best you'll find. So yes, tell them what you think. Too many people feel the same way and never say anything. Please be sure to let me know as soon as you get the biopsy report!!!! We're here to support you guys through this journey. Have a great week!

JP - To my knowledge, after biopsy, a couple of days at best. There's no real guidelines on this. After treatment is a little different. Hope you're doing better. Don't be afraid!!

JP - your feeling are all completely normal given the situation. We all had that moment of complete shock and "OMG". Take a moment and pull yourself together. Knowledge will be your best defense for this disease. I will tell you now this is a couples disease. It will impact both of your lives. And your emotions at this time are typical of the grieving process -- anger, sadness, lonliness ---- you'll run the full spectrum of emotions through this process. Thrown in with the health issue, you're compounded with his loss of his job, and now the loss of your dream to do "something fun". Hang on, everything will change in time. Just give time time. My husband of 35 years was diagnosed in 2007 - out of the blue, no symptoms, looks years younger than he is (60 now). We've been married since I was 18, 3 grown children, 4.5 grandchildren. I can tell you life will become somewhat "normal" again. Just hold on and be strong during this turbulent time. I'll send you an e-mail with my phone number. Give me a call. It really helps to talk. We've all been there and that's why we're here.....to offer support and hope for those who find themselves on this unexpected journey.

JP - Welcome to the network. Take a look around at the various groups and discussions and join any that interest you. Glad you've joined us in the Wives and Partners group. Ask any questions you may have. We're here to support you on this journey. You may find our Newly Diagnosed section very helpful in your search for knowledge about PCa. Please post additional information about your husband's diagnosis: clinical stage, PSA when he was diagnosed, age, overhealth, etc. Thanks for joining us!
