Nate: I dunno who your urologist is but I can tell you that Mario Eisenberger has forgotten more about prostate cancer than most oncologists ever learn, so I think you are in good hands. I've known Mario for nearly 20 years now.

About Me:
I am a 69 year old survivor.Had RP Dec 16,2002 35 Radiation treatments and was on Lupron for a year PSA has been between <0.1 to O.1 until recently when it increased to 0.2(7/08) and last reading (Aug 18,2008) was 0.3.
Lead a very active life.Play tennis 5 days a week,travel,etc.
Urologist says to do another PSA in 4 months.

I had lap removal myself. My PSA was <0.1 for the first 3 years and then jumped to 0.1 where it has stayed. Both my surgeon in Aventura and my urologist here in Tucson where I live are not concerned nor have recommended any treatment at this time. I am a dental surgeon myself (periodontist) and my own feeling with any cancer is that there probably are some remaining cells in all cases. It is in conceivable to me that whatever technique is done surgically cannot assure 100% removal of all microscopic size cells from a small organ to begin with. Thus we have to hope and trust, and our age (68 for me) that somthin else will get us first anyway.
