New to the site, so I hope it's not out of bounds to comment on older threads -- but like the one on defining and measuring erection, this is interesting. What does it mean to have regained urinary control? I have assumed that it means that ones le…

Tim added a discussion to the group ED and incontinence post-treatment
I am doing pretty well but the occasional very small leakage would still make it impossible for me to imagine not wearing a pad in public in the future. So When everyone says they have “regained urinary control” what constitutes that? Never having…

I am a poster child for Physical Therapy for incontinence. A good skilled professional will tell you that you can absolutely over do Kegels per day, and that specialized stomach exercises are almost as valuable and to do both will really improve you…

Big T,
I had my 5th heart stent put in in may and still am in Cardiac Rehab three motning per week. I am being a pain in the ass to the nurses as it is going too slow. They are letting me walk my three beagles again, and just gettin on free weights again. Sort of baby steps. For some reasing I began leaking at night so back to some pads. What a regression in life. Still ED, but I was taken off all Hormone therapy including the dreaded Casodex last week and getting some man-juice back I hope. I'll know when I stop watching chick flicks again. The radiation cooked my bowel and prostated to very well done. We all are wounded in the PCa battle. I did have a trip last week to serve on the Dept of Defense Scientific Committee that determined which PCa studies to fund.A real pleasure and honor, and I let them know what we need. - a cure. Sorry about the ED but you are a real man for speaking out and a tough SOB. Keep it that wat Big T. You shall be restored someday. Don't Give Up. The Bear George

Hi Tim...I saw your reply to Mike on his "Am I Leaking" thread in the ED and Incontinence group. I think I'm doing the same thing you were doing in trying to get to the bathroom as often as possible to limit the amount of leakage. Tell me, did you run into the problem that if you changed positions like standing up after sitting down for a while, you automatically started leaking? I can feel a stream start coming out as soon as I stand up. It sure is frustrating. Howie

Welcome Tim. Sorry you've had to seek us out but hopefully we can provide you with some help and support. Should we assume you are recently diagnosed or were you diagnosed a while ago? Either way around, it would help if you could tell us a little more about yourself and your disease, e.g., you age, PSA at diagnosis, Gleason score, clinical stage, number of positive biopsy scores (out of how many in total), other comorbidities, etc. If you look at George Brown's page (just as an example), you will see that he has included this information in the "About Me" part of his profile. That way we can all have a clear picture of "where you are coming from."
