About Me:
I am the wife of a PC survivor. My husband had LRP surgery in Nov. 2007 with Dr. Krongrad. My father was diagnosed with PC in 1992 and died in 1999. I want to help others whose lives have been impacted by PC and stay in touch with our unique community of families to address ongoing issues that will be part of our lives for years to come.

Thank you for that....I will call. He has remained to my surprise really positive but silently saddened. I signed him up and will show him how to begin using the infolink this week. I think it will help him connect with other men dealing with the same issues. We have been married 20 years and I keep telling him Iam ok with whatever the outcome.

This is Ricks wife Karen responding....he is doing well, it's been 1 year and 3 months since his surgery with Dr. Krongrad. Everything is fine except the ED. He just recently started to get a little depressed over this, I think he felt after a year he would start to see some response. He is only 48 so it's difficult to be dealing with the reality that it may never change. He has tried all the different meds to assist, none work and just give him headaches and a runny nose. The shot does not seem to be a solution that he likes so I suggested that he sign up on this prostate cancer infolink and maybe he could learn a few things while meeting others going along this same journey.

Do you have the little picture of you and your name in the top left? Try clicking on that.

Re linking, I can talk you through it. Chances are that you've got your pop-up box block on in some way that isn't allowing to to show.

Your message was sent to the e-mails of all members in the group. I got it at my personal e-mail address. If you want to see your comments on the group page, you'd need to start a discussion. To send an IM, on your page, go to "my friends" at the top. Then at the bottom of your friends page, go to send a message to my friends. It automatically defaults to all friends, just click the checks off, and the click on the person you want to send to. It's really easy! Delete Comment

Angela,

Can you tell me if my msg posted? And where? I've gotten responses but I can't find the msg listed anywhere on the site or even the fact that I posted it (just a mention I joined the group). I thought I started a new topic in the Biopsy group but I don't find it there. Am jconfused. Some of us are just technically dumb.

Also, can you IM somebody?

Thanks,

Leah

Hey AJ,

We just received approval to shoot three commercials to be shown in September. We will start shooting in a couple of weeks. I have to order my new graphics and jerseys on Monday, so if the CMA wants to come on board, now would be a great time. I hate to put pressure on, but I don't want them to miss this opportunity.

Let me know as soon as you hear something.

Thanks AJ!!

PSA is still at 3.4, following a treatment plan from Columbia Medical Center under the direction of Dr. Espinosa. website is: http://www.holisticurology.columbia.edu/_physicians/Katz.html

Strickly organic (99%), hoping that there will be some break throughs that will eliminate the need for surgery or a form of radiation.

Hi Angela. I think at one point you mentioned a "DaVinci Club." When and where does it meet? Al could benefit from group discussions I am sure. July 3 will be one month since surgery; he is still incontinent and discouraged. Any suggestions? He fared okay while I was in NY. Thanks...Margaret

Hi Angela,
I will put some thoughts together and see if I can describe how exactly how my friendship with Walt came about. I have documented it well on blogs and in forums, but never thought about an article about it. I'm not really a great writer but just blabble mouth a lot. You are welcome to use any part of our story you wish. I believe that these on line support groups have helped so many, and I am not afraid to mention Healingwell where I moderate and I am a member. I certainly will do anything to help our brothers in this fight. How long a story were you thinking?
