Hello Ed,
I do not know enough or remember your diagnostics or treatment except that you are presently intermittent and on Avodart maintenance. You seem to currently have the disease under control with what you are doing.

Next on the list of potential treatments (from Dr. Leibowitz's toolbox) would be Taxotere chemo.
I do not think you are there yet while responding to hormone suppression. As long as you repond, count your blessings.

As far as expert oncologists in your area, Howard Scher and Neil Bander are close in case that you need other treatments. For now it seems logical to stay the course.

Hello Ed,
Yes I am familiar with Dr. Bob's treatment protocols. How can I help you?

So far no luck with a new oncologist. I am currently being treated by his very able P.A.
Julie Plantamura. I have my first appt with her at the end of May. She knows P.C. and what she is doing. That said, she is not an MD. I'm not too happy with the way it was done. I received a letter in the mail that Dr Berger was retiring. I had my last appt with him prior to his retirement, there was no provision made for an alternate doctor. When I asked Dr Berger he said it was being worked on, that was at the end of Feb, to date nothing has been done that was communicated to me.
Regards Ralph, good to see you here.

Ed, glad to see you here. I understand Dr. Berger is teaching. One of my friends in L.I. is in the same situation as you once Dr. Berger retired. Let us know if you find a suitable medical oncologist around that area.
