One of my contacts on another network says after reading everything on the topic nerve sparing is prbably only 40% sucessful. I am 0.2 from original <0.1 but my docs say dont worry just watch it. I have had some occsasional sucessful responses to Levitra and Cialis regular and now am trying the 5mg Cialis 3 nights before the weekend and one on the moring of an attempt and have a 50% success rate.

Hi Rick,
What have your drs. been saying about your psa results? What have all your psas been?
My Uro is very conservative and she also wants to see what my psa is in Dec. Where are you located and where did you have your surgery? What was your pathology?
Im in Louisiana and had surgery at Oschner hospital in New Orleans.

Dear Rick,
I would have suspected at age 59 you should have some kind of response by now from Viagra or Levitra. However, now the docs are realizing it may take 2 - 3 years for the nerves to heal. As a dental surgeon working with nerves that doesnt surprise me. Nerves heal terribly slow anyway
Leaving for an Alakan cruise so if you dont hear back Ill be gone till June 12

Rick, Your questions are perfect fodder for a new discussion in the ED group. You might want to join, find "+Start Discussion" on the left, and start one. You'll get all kinds on input that way. It will also help all of us relate to you if you load in a photo. You'll get better comments.

Hi. I had my surg almost 4 years ago. It took me a little over 3 to respond the the drugs. However even now they are not predictable. I have had some success with Levitra and once or 2x with Cialis but it seems like it is a timing issue. If you try to soon it does not work and if you wait too long the same thing. I am going on vacation and when I come back my wife suggested I try the once a day Cialis routine for a while. We have had successul days which makes the unsuccessful days more frustration and they say emotion plays a role and I do feel I get a little uptight waiting to see if it will work. Ill keep you posted.

Just had my one year anniversary and felt happy (lucky) that my PSA is still low. The biggest problem for me was the incontinence which is just about gone now. I also seemed to have a loss of energy and I have to really push myself to work out. The ED I still am waiting on according to my doctor. He stated I might recover or I might not but I am just happy to be alive. The other part of all of this is that the cancer stuff is always playing on your mind. I feel I'm moving on and it's a thing of the past. Prostate cancer is a wakeup call too live life to it's fullest and don't wait. Stay in touch - Rick

Hi Rick,
Have you had your one-year surgery anniversary yet?
I'd be interested in knowing more about your post-treatment story thus far, if you feel comfortable sharing it.
