- Urinary specialist has me scheduled for a third biopsy within the past year. Have had enlarged prostate for seven years, but his concern is that after my taking proscar for five years my phs should be going down. It bounces around between 13 and 17. I have been taking a generic finasteride 5 mg made by Cipla instead of the trade mark Proscar. Prior to the past year the biopsies have taken place less than annually.
For the biopsies have been for about 15 hits under sedation. Comments appreciated.
